Hi Ray,

Yes, both XP Home and XP Pro will use dual processors, if present.
The "Performance Monitor" system tool which is a standard part of the
operating system will display (amongst many other things) CPU load
and will display the utilization of the two CPUs. If you can't find a
menu item for Performance Monitor, type "perfmon" from a command
prompt.

If you did install a second CPU on an existing machine, you might
have to re-install XP in order to take advantage of it. I have a
vague recollection that with NT4, the single or dual-processor
versions of the operating system "kernel" were chosen when you
installed the o/s, so it's more than likely still the same with XP,
but I couldn't swear to it!
