My apologies; I _should_ have remembered the "missing
gzip386" problem! Truth is, I haven't had many inquiries about
Guide 7 for a long time now, and some of the "usual suspects"
have faded from memory. (Though yesterday, I had an inquiry
about Guide 3, the circa-1993 incarnation of the program. Who
says DOS is dead!)

Thanks for the confirmation that Guide 8 software still runs with
the Guide 7 CD. It's mildly surprising, since untested features
usually are broken features... guess we got lucky on this one.

As to "what you're missing": actually, quite a bit... as you may
have gathered from this mailing list, Guide 8 has two CD-ROMs
as opposed to Guide 1-7's single CD-ROM, which allowed for a
slew of nifty new features.
