It seems as if this is the expected Guide behaviour. It only has precise information on asteroids for a limited period of time. If you look at your Guide directory there should be one subdirectory called 'Asteroid'; under it there's another one called the same and then several with names like '2450'. This number constitutes the first digits of the Julian date for which the asteroid data contained in that directory belongs to. In my case, and I suppose is the same for you, the 'highest' date is 2453400 (the file is named '2453400.ast'). Each file has the information for a 100-day period so the last date available is JD2453499 (that happens to be 9 May 2005). After that date there is no data to compute asteroids positions from the internal files.
If you still want to compute positions for that dates, you should use another source of asteroid information like the MPCORB files (you can find installing and precision info in previous messages in this group or diving in Project Pluto website).
