Hey everyone...
Just back from my eclipse expedition (
http://www.webqs.com/eclipse/) and have
been looking up 2002 X5 in Guide to get the best viewing times.
I noticed from my Latitude (Sydney, Australia) that it will be visible in the
morning sky at sunrise around the 5th February (albeit 4 degrees altitude)..
I doubt it will be visible unless it gets very bright and there is a clear
horizon.
At the same time it will be visible in the evening sky (about 10-20 degrees
altitude).
Assuming the coords are right, is this right? I'm no comet specialist - is it
rare for a comet to be visible in the morning sky and the evening sky on the
same day? Or is this a function of my latitude?
My thoughts go to the eclipse and what it would have been like seeing a comet
like this during totality.... !
Best regards
James
