I use "brand x" (a.k.a. "TheSky) to control my telescope because it integrates with TPoint. I use Guide for everything else because I find it so intuitive, and the display is so easy to customize to match whatever the viewing conditions are. (Also integration with RealSky--I could go on and on, but why preach to the choir?) I would have to re-think my operating procedure if Guide became compatible with TPoint!

that's good news. I have seen The Sky and TPoint at a fellow
astronomers observatory and I was very much impressed about the
software. However, it only works with The Sky.
A similar solution for Guide would make Guide even more competitive
for users with robotic telescopes and slight misalignment of the
mount.
I much better like Guide for the intuitive user interface compared to
The Sky.

Looking forward to e new version including a similar software as
TPoint.
