Hi Folks,

Just playing around with the "Make an AVI" function in Guide, in hopes of
demonstrating a Jovian satellite mutual event at tonight's astronomy club
meeting. What I'm finding is that when I make an AVI I get a color depth of
4 bits (16 colors) in that AVI. This, of course, looks a bit crude.

When I make a bitmap, I get a full 24-bit (32k colors) BMP file.

Obviously, I'd like to make a >4 bit AVI so as to preserve all the
wonderful colors that Guide puts on Jupiter and Io. My question is how?

I'm still fooling around, and will update my video driver (standard
reaction to all problems) shortly, but just thought I'd toss the query out
here in case someone can offer some advice.
