Blinking in Charon seems to be a relatively smooth process now, and any
movement/changes between images can be seen after careful scrutiny.
However, would it not be a significant improvement if a matching field
from Guide could be added within the blink sequence? I am thinking
about the possibility of nova discoveries, because these would not arise
from blinking images taken within the same timescale. The Guide field
would show all stars known to Guide, and can be supplemented with other
catalogues.

If some other process for doing nova searching has already been
implemented within Guide then I am not aware of this - please enlighten
me!
