You could center first Guide in the object or field to explore and in Guide
activate a telescope command to goto that position.
Repeat that as many as you wish.
One more thought: recenter first in a precision star, in vicinity of field,
to correct for small position errors if you need precision pointing.

was looking for a cursor that would move on the chart as the scope is
moved. I also have a problem with the telescope pad in that the
position of the scope can be moved with it, but the position
