The path shown on

as it's based on newer astrometric readings taken by a ccd camera. The closer one get's to an event, and takes positional observations, the better the predictions get.
Even still there's is still an error in the predictions, so the true path can be slightly different then the predictions. Only time will tell.
Predictions are getting better, as we have much more accurate star catalogs, and orbits of asteroids then a few years ago.
