just make sure that Show Ground is turned ON under Display | Background... and
that you will need to add the line (or modify it to read)

GROUND_DRAWING=2

in your guide.dat file in the Guide directory, or else your ground will be
semi-transparent, which it is not in neither S&T nor the real world :)
