I'm running Guide with both CD's copied to the hard drive. I would like to
kill Guide's ability to display the images contained on disc 2 while
retaining the ability to easily show RealSky and DSS images from various
sources.

Is a proper way to do this to delete the "images" directory from the HD
copy of disk two, and then to delete imgcache.dat and imgda???.idx from the
Guide directory?

You can infer that I've done this (actually I've moved both of them, to
facilitate easy recovery), and that it seems to work. I'm just sort of
curious whether this kind of slash-and-burn tactic will have other
consequences.
