Weird line drawing

Bill J Gray Sep 29, 2002

Hi Lawrence,

This is probably a side effect of the code I added, a few months
back, to allow line drawing with assorted 'styles' (dashed, dotted,
dash-dots, etc.) Instead of removing the line at the end, it must
be getting reset to draw with a dashed style.

If you could send me your 'startup.mar' via private e-mail, I'll
probably be able to see the same thing and can track it down and
fix it. This would be well, as I hope to post an update shortly, as
soon as I fix another puzzling bug: two people have reported very
similar problems with Guide crashing (in 'kernel32.dll') when you do
a "go to planet" or "quick info" operation (sometimes, also, when
doing things such as zooming in on a planet.)

The update will be solely done to fix these bugs, as well as the
"full-screen" bug leaving the menus behind in WinXP/2000/NT.

The only slight improvement will be that the "red mode" color
will be resettable. Some people find the default mode to be too
bright; they'll be able to set a fainter shade of red. Another gent
wanted to experiment with a dim shade of _green_; some studies
indicate that a dim green beats a bright red for night-vision purposes.
I am agnostic about this, but making the color adjustable seems a
reasonable thing for which to ask.
