Hi Bill,

I see what you mean, but what we talk about is to pinpoint precisely
the derivations of the mount from perfect "square" construction.
Therefore (please correct me if I don't get it right Mel!) we want to
single out ALT movement of the telescope to determin the misalignment
between the two axes (ALT,AZ) of the telescope and the difference
between optical and mechanical axes.

Hope that makes it clearer
