Update of EXPLANET.zip and correction to XZ80_tdf.zip

Oliver Kloes Sep 21, 2002

Hi GUIDE-users,

EXPLANET.zip
An update of my tdf file for extrasolar planetary systems was long overdue.
Now there are over 100 systems known.
Bill has posted the new files already:

http://www.projectpluto.com/explanet.zip

Unzip the downloaded files in you GUIDE directory.
GUIDE 8.0 users have an older version on the CD-Roms already. Therefore the
update has an extension to the title. At menu "User added datasets" the
title of the new files reading now:
"Planetary systems (Updated month/year)". So you can seperate old (CD-Rom)
and new file.
This new files will be replaced by future updates again.

XZ80P Catalogue:
Four month ago I've written a tdf-file for displaying the XZ80P catalog used
by observers of lunar occultations. Unfortunately there was a bug in the
tdf-file, not all stars were displayed.
This is corrected now. The new file is already posted under:

http://www.projectpluto.com/xz80_tdf.zip

If you want to use this catalogue, please download this file again.

Or...

You can do the bug fix by yourselves:
Open the XZ80P.tdf with a text editor.
Remove the line:

sort 1

Save the the corrected file.
Done.

Clear skies,

Oliver
