Hi Bill,
I would like to ask you for a new feature, that will probably only be
useful for those of us who use Mel Bartels' drive and enjoy the new
analysis feature, to zero out mount construction errors.
To analyse the mount construction errors one has to move the telescope
to several (the more the better) stars and then let the program
compare actual telescope position with the true star coordinates.
Now the analysis procedure should preferably be divided in two parts
by selecting
A) stars that share the same (more or less) Altitude
and then
B) stars that share the same (more or less) Azimuth
What I would like Guide to do is, to compute stars down to a given
magnitude (set by user) that share at a given time the
Altitude/Azimuth +- 1deg with the current cursor position on the
starmap.
Then the list should be sorted by Altitude/Azimuth and an Index mark
should be put on the star of origin.
Last, it would be marveless, if the output could be already in the
*.dat format of Mel's program.
Do you think there is a possibility to implement it?
Thank you
Berthold
