Hmmm, I can reproduce this using Guide 8. Perhaps
it helps a bit
to switch off the yellow disk of the sun by
clicking on the sun
with the right mouse button, setting
Display/Options/Line figure.
It does not really solve the problem, but you can
at least see
the trail with respect to the solar disk.

Venus itself is shown realistically as a black
disk in front of the sun, and in eclipse mode
contact times for Hamburg can easily be derived.
