Hi Kevin,

This is an answer to the third question in my previous post. I can convince
Guide 8 that the Tycho data is no longer on the hard disk just by re-selecting
the "Tycho-2..." option in the Extras menu. The asterisk then disappears.

I'd still like to know how to use the Tycho data directly off the USNO CD
without loading it to the hard disk.
