Indeed. What Auto means is that Guide will try to filter the number of objects
it shows you based on the field of view. Normally you don't want to see all
asteroids to mag 14 if you've got a 20+ degree field of view. And 2002 NY40 at
mag 35.9 is so faint that it may "never" be shown by Guide at the auto setting.
Turning everything ON is the way to go to check if you believe Guide is "hiding"
something from you :)
