Bill

I can compute where on earth, to go to see the iss go across the sun
or moon's disk.

Is it possible to show a map, like you get when click in "show
eclipse", with a line on it. The line would be where to go to be at
the approx centre line of the event. At the approx centre line the
iss would go across the approx centre of the sun of moon, and thus
the event will last the longest.

Format of latitude and longitude data, that I can get. This data
would be used to make up the line shown on the map.

Date Time( UT ) Latitude Longitude
9 Aug 2002 00:22:11.00 -52.741 126.170
9 Aug 2002 00:22:21.00 -50.928 129.915
9 Aug 2002 00:22:31.00 -49.697 132.313
9 Aug 2002 00:22:41.00 -48.676 134.217

Computed using this orbital element for the iss

ISS (ZARYA)
1 25544U 98067A 02221.43634259 .00017446 00000-0 23857-3 0 286
2 25544 51.6372 145.6626 0018039 120.6251 26.1775 15.57353553212335

If you use that latitude and longitude, at the time given, you
should see the iss on the moon.

By having the centre line path on a map, I could see what towns and
cities are near the centre line.

Just a suggestion, if it's to hard then forget about it. I hope you
understand what I would like to see.

Thanks

Kevin
