Hi, Bill

I have comets switched "on" (not "auto") in the "Data Shown"
menu, so all comets should display regardless of their
magnitude, and indeed almost any part of the sky looks like
"comet city".

My point was that my new comet is not in the "go to" list,
so I can't go to it.

I suppose I could edit an existing comet with my new
elements.

don't have ver 7 loaded up here at home but you can try
setting the magnitude for displayed comets a bit lower and
see if that helps or perhaps just zoom the view in a few
levels and see if the comet is displayed.
