Hi
Since installing Guide 8 to my hard drive I have variuos problems
with Charon. They are probably all caused by user error but I would
appreciate some help.

a) Every time I open Charon it fails and I have to choose 'ignore' to
open .

b) If I choose GSC-act, it fails (cannot find GSC). I understood that
the GSC-ACT was on the disk (ie now on the hard drive) and I have
never told charon to point to any other catalogue(?)

I only need to use Charon to check if I have the right field. I take
the images home and reduce them against A 2.0 on a bigger computer.

c) Once I have got Charon working it recognises coordinates, but not
objects. Entering 'm 13' will produce error message ' object not
known' !!!

d) the Alt -C link does not work. When you open the image it fails.

e) I cannot toggle user datasets in Guide. In 'extras' I choose the
relevant dataset , click 'off' then 'ok'.... nothing happens. It
stays on.

Is anyone using Charon successfully with Guide 8?
All the above problems have been reproduced on 2 different computers.
