Interesting PSP doesn't like clipboarded images - the capture tool in PSP
has worked for me though.

I use Fireworks for screenshots - it treats the image as a PNG which is
becoming the De Facto standard for the web etc. (has the best of GIF and JPG
features). Can crop and resize at will.
Fireworks is great for squeezing images out for the web, so I use it a lot
on sites I build.
