Thanks for the info, I guess I'll have to dig deeper into Guide's tables.
Actually, I should have mentioned my interest in astronomy is primarily in
pre-telescopic observations.

However, the table you pointed me to will be very useful in writing up
things (and making charts) for friends who aren't really into astronomy but
like to see what's in the sky. The current planet lineup for instance,
looking for Mercury, things like that.
