I don't think using a forum is more difficult than using a mailing-
list : you just have to click on a link, type your text (which could
include smilies and pictures directly in the message) and click on a
Post button. You could easily do that from any computer in the world,
using a far better interface than the Yahoo one (at least I hope so).
The user-friendliness is an important point.

Besides, the whole point of the site is to make the community more
active by publishing articles (and not only Guide articles, I hope
they're will be general astronomy articles, observing experiences,
scopes tests, etc). Some members here seem to find that interesting,
so why not use a forum at the same time ? An interesting point is
that the forums use categories, making browsing simpler. I mean, if
you use Guide 7, just go to the Guide 7 forum and don't bother with
the Guide 8 one. If you want to ask a question regarding astronomy,
go to the Astronomy forum, etc. This way, the discussions could be
really improved as they are not all mixed together.

One point I'd like to stress is that I do NOT want to undermine your
effort, which helped a LOT of users. What I want is maybe make one
more step in the development of the community.

The forums are working just fine, you probably tried to enter them
when I made some modifications, sorry about that.
