Re: Guide8 Pros and Contros

With this e-mail first of all I want thank Bill for its work, that is extraordinary in all its applications.
My last discovery has been the use of "make AVI file", that allowed my astronomy group to make much more interesting astronomy lessons for the schools, showing in a few seconds of movie what would have needed many minutes of explanation and drawings on the board.
And now the request: I have a (very little!) problem regarding the "Increase-decrease brightness-contrast" buttons.
If I use them on the Moon or planets, everything is OK, but if I try to do it with the DSS images included in Guide8, it doesn't work. But if I go with the mouse on the image, open its characteristics with the right button and click OK, from that moment I can modify the contrast-brightness of all DSS images. Is it normal or its only a probelm of mine?
Moreover I have found that the increase-decrease steps are very big, so a fine tuning is impossible.
Is there any trick to be done on some file in order to modify these steps?
Thank you Bill, GUIDE is "the ONE".
