Hi Roger,
May I humbly sugest that the precedent answer from Bill, to Josch, would apply for you.
If you change the increments, you can move around 5 deg at a time with the arrows and star hop from one feild to the other...
That would be simple enough!!!
I'll try that for myself ...

Here is something I would love to see on an update.

I frequently set my "aperture" circle to 5 degrees
to simulate my finder scopes FOV. It would be very
convenient to be able to use the mouse to grab the
circle and drag it around the screen, the same as
you would do if you were star hopping.
