With regards to the large X's I was getting on Guide 8 (Fixed by
Andrea.. thanks), that problem seems to be over.
However, I noticed that on animation the asteroid symbols (and
screen) flashed with each step.
So I thought I must have screwed Guide up.. I decided to reinstall
Guide again.
I took it out completely first, because I had both Cd's installed on
my hard drive.
I reinstalled Guide 8, just the minimum installation, and tried an
animation. That worked fine. Small X's and smooth animation.
I am one of those who had the first batch of CD's with the full
installation problems. So I then downloaded the latest Guide 8
update, extracted to the Guide directory.. and NOW the X's are large
again, and the animation is jerky once more.
I'm sorry if this is long, but I am having real problems here.
I have tried taking Guide out again, downloading the latest Guide
update again.. still the same problem.
So what it ammounts to is.. Guide works fine without the new update..
but not with it.

Can you or someone help me with this.. I'm at a loss now to know what
to do.
