I was a bit disappointed that G8 couldn't even pick up my location
from the G7 install, and I had to enter all user-specific info and
preferences again by hand. I was tempted to just copy over my
startup.mar file, but decided not to try it...

I couldn't even load my old marks, since you can't change the
directory from within the interface.

Sorry for whining - I agree that astronomical accuracy is better (and
more important) than bells and whistles, but these sort of things
wouldn't be too hard to implement.
