Bug in lunar 'more info'

Bill J Gray Feb 27, 2002

Hi folks,

Sorry... when I saw Larry's e-mail, I didn't realize it was on the list,
and I replied privately to the following effect:

Yup, it's a bug... it affects any five-digit date (with "-1000" being
five digits if you include the minus sign.) I've just fixed this, and
you'll see the result the next time I post an update on the Web site.

...which may be a bit, since I posted the update yesterday, and
have just made some changes so that you can select hotkeys
from within Guide. So I'll hold off for at least a few days.

The bug was of the "running just past a buffer" variety, and has
probably been there for as long as Guide has shown lunar eclipse
data (since Guide 5, I think). But such bugs often don't appear
until something nudges memory around in just the right manner.

I _will_ be posting updated files for German and Italian users in
a bit, as well as a file for display of page numbers from the new
Uranometria atlas (the layout is very different from the old atlas.)
