Hello Andrea,

I think there's only one way to control the DS bitmaps. You have to
activate the tool bar buttons increase/decrease contrast/brightness
(four buttons. Come to think of it, there must excist hot keys also,
can't check now). Be warned though; the bitmaps vary wildly as to
their intrinsic levels so you have to fine tune the images quite
often if you pan to different areas. Also, you should be aware that
controlling DS bitmaps affects the planetary bitmaps'
brightness/contrast levels - they're all connected. I'm sure Bill
will find an elegant solution to this problem.
