I fully agree with that - and he didn't merely fix bugs but also added
features! Guide 7 today is not the same as Guide 7 when just released.

To this I'd like to add:

3. The possibility to use Guide's data for your own programming
projects, due to the documentation of the formats of the data files.
Few other similar programs provide this kind of documentation.
