RE: [guide-user] Guide vs. StarryNight Pro and TheSky

Antonio Alves Jan 10, 2002

My choice of Guide is based on:
1- It's first to carry display catalogs and stars to 15 mag. At a great
price.
2- The possibility from very begins to talk with the person who is making
the program and ask for the feature you more needed.
3- My observations are almost by CCD trough S-M Mead 14". To find and center
objects like a supernova, or a faint comet or asteroid your practical choice
it' only Guide.
4- Guide carries the most diversified complete information about stars and
objects, as far as I know.

If you are only interested in the pictured presentations of the visual sky
or for planetarium and decorative purposes, there are other programs more
suited for that purposes

I choiced the Guide because it's cheapest one
even it has many functions.

And Guide allow to translate to other language.
