I finally did it, I ordered a copy of guide 7. I like the fact you can track satellites in it. Eventually I hope it will use norad SDP4 equations for satellite tracking in addition to it using SGP4 right now. If I read it right, guide has the tycho 2 and hubble guide star catalog as part of the program. That will come in handy when looking for geo and other hight altitude satellites. PAS 1R ( norad number 26608) I saw it last night at around mag +9 .
I used a different program to find it, until my copy of guide arrives.
Bill you should talk to the following person, as he had to correct an error in the SDP4 source code.
