Hi Kevin,

At what RA were you when this RealSky weirdness happened? When I
attempt to get an image from RealSky South for any point south of
about +4 dec, I get "no plates found", which may just mean I haven't
wandered around to the right point in RA to duplicate this error.

I also went into "Extras... Toggle User-Added Datasets" and turned
"RealSky South plates" to On. It shows plates extending to dec +3,
roughly, and no farther. Dunno what's going on here.

Mike, about the garbage data from DOS Guide: there was a similar
inquiry a few weeks back from Ned Smith. At the time, I didn't know
why it would happen; for some reason, it occurred to me today that
it might have something to do with running DOS Guide with no CD... and,
indeed, that can do it. DOS Guide tries to spit out a message such as
"no Guide CD found". Unfortunately, that message comes from a file that's
supposed to be on the CD. So instead, it spits out garbage. Something
for me to fix.

In the meantime, just mentally translate garbage characters into the
message "please insert Guide CD and try again".
