The 'guide7.zip' file is indeed a new one. I've just not updated
the HTML text yet; at some point, I'll probably cut-and-paste my
post to this group and put it on the Web site. Despite the '10 Aug'
date, the software really _is_ new.

Bob, about the asteroid problem: it cropped up because I recently
revised the way Guide shows the 'discovery' information in 'more info',
such as

Discovery date: 1998 Feb 19
Discoverer's name: Roe, J. M.
Discovered at: Oaxaca
Name cited in Minor Planet Circular 41389

That discovery data comes from the CD. Switch to MPCORB, and you get
more numbered asteroids, and Guide was looking for discovery data for them
and not finding it. It now handles that more gracefully (a nice way of
saying it doesn't crash in that situation now.)
