Of several things

Hi folks,

Masaki Kouda is, of course, correct; I've had lunar features shown
and labelled in the same color for a while now, and hadn't noticed that
they couldn't be separately controlled any more. I've fixed this.

About the 'install to hard drive': the method described in harddriv.htm
is not really the best thing to do anymore. The current version has a much
better way to install to the hard drive:

http://www.projectpluto.com/update7.htm#hard_drive_install

I accidentally reset my computer to a 256-color mode, and found that
planetary features turned to garbage. Still looking into this. Guess
I've been running in high-color modes for too long.

Bob, about the use of GSC in its 'original' format: I've stayed
away from this, largely because in that format, GSC consumes a bit
over 1200 MBytes. In the compressed format, it consumes a little over
200 MBytes. If I had a switch of the sort you suggest, it would result
in dropping from 1400 to 1200 MBytes, a reduction of a mere 14%. Not
much to write home about.

Jan Manek wrote about getting a size/level number in the legend,
such as "Level 7 (2 degrees), rather than just a "2.000". You do
still get the former display when "fixed levels" is checked in Extras.
But if it's not checked, you just get a field of view size.

I've just allowed for some variation to this: in the next version I
post, you can add the line LEGEND_LEVELS=Y to GUIDE.DAT. Do so, and
turn off "fixed levels", and you get fractional levels shown in the
legend such as "Level 7.34 (1.583 degrees)". I can't say I'm really
crazy about this idea, but Jan is not the only person who has asked
for such a thing.

Pierre, about the 'multiple clicks': that puzzles me a bit. One
possible cause would be multiple WDS datasets. Guide 7 comes with
WDS-1996 built into it, and WDS-2000 and WDS-2001 have come out since
then. I suppose if you got more than one version going, you could get
the sort of effect you report in which clicking "next" just gets you
the same object all over again. And you could easily get CCDM in the
mix, too. I'd suggest checking Extras... Toggle User Datasets to see
what's turned on.
