I find an annoying behavior of GUIDE when I use the Next Button after
right click on a double star. To
find out the most recent data for double star, I toggle on the WDS 2000 on user
data set and show the label of the double star. When I right click on a star, I
generally get the most general information and after click on next, I get the
information coming from WDS 2000.
But it happened quite frequently that I got the same general information
again and again each time I click on the next button without getting access to
the WDS information. Also, when I
got a triple star designated as AB, sometime, clicking on next button give me
the information on AC, but often, it just repeat the information on AB
component. The only way to get out
of this behavior is to close the window and right click again on the star. Sometimes it gives me access to the
information I want but sometimes, I need to repeat the right click many times to
get the double star information. I
notice also that the cross indicator to which star the information is related
doest not move when the same information is repeated.
For example, it took me more than twelve right click on
the double star CHE 418 in Pegasus (a double star 30 minutes NE from eta
Pegasus). It took me more than
seven right click to get the information on the component AC of Pi 2 Pegasus
after got the info for AB component.
This indicates that the information on multiple star components is
available within Guide but it is inconsistently available.
Does someone notice the same behavior? Is this situation can be improved? And
more curiously, what is the rational behind the behavior of the Next
button.
