I've been getting almost all my TLEs lately from Mike McCants' page,
http://users2.ev1.net/~mmccants/tles/index.html
Download the 'thirty day' .TLE (lists objects launched in the last 30
days). For those who just want to cut-and-paste elements from this e-mail:
MAP
1 26859U 01027A 01195.66666667 -.00017351 +00000-0 +91747-5 0 00201
2 26859 028.3041 032.6327 9480318 050.9159 259.7838 00.11212487000014
If you save this file with the extension .TLE, you ought to be able
to use "Settings... TLE=" to select that file, and then turn satellites
'on', and see this object.
(For the curious: MAP=Microwave Anisotropy Probe, which is currently
in a long, looping orbit with a perigee close to Earth and an apogee out
around the Moon. Soon, it'll pass very close to the moon, which will
boost it close to escape speed; it will then move out to the L2 point,
and will stay a few million kilometers away from Earth, on the side
opposite the Sun. Interference from either object would be too much for
it; from the L2 viewpoint, the Earth and Sun will always appear to be
in the same part of the sky, and won't interfere with observations.)
