Hi All of You
I am amazed by this lofty mind list.
I follow it fixedly from its very beginning. Almost every time I check my
email, I have to see what is happening here!
I must say that I no longer are active in astronomy, but I still am involved
and this is the right spirit to do a great job, and I enjoy a lot to see it
developing like a live show!
I had the privilege to be one of the firsts users of this astro guide
wonder. It has been of great help, in the amateur tasks that I had been
involved, some of them with reflexes on the media, and astronomy magazines.
My contributions to first amateur parallax projects, getting positions on
Shumaker-Levy or others difficult objects and others achievements not
possible without the inexpensive and new accessible Guide!
When I listen Bill announcing that:
"I will be posting an update on the Web site shortly to provide this new
feature, at which point we can all start going over GSC-2.2 with a
fine-tooth comb and get some idea as to its characteristics."
.... my attention and delight increased very seriously! I hope this happen
soon!
This is so interesting that I could be again involved in some now becoming
more attractive and feasible projects.
I had been in past involved in programming, it's why I know what normally
happens, when we make even a very small and inoffensive or looking like
modification on the code. We never know, no one could say, were and when, it
could reflects and strike. Some time it's disastrous, even if you have the
Microsoft staff working for you! Do you imagine what happened if you could
say them, what you wanted in your programs and get it next day!
I must say tanks to all of you, (around this each time becoming a smaller
planet), for your contributions to this list and the success of Guide.
We are also so lucky to have this extraordinary and devoted person that Bill
is. He is the guy who is doing this hard and great job for us, and in such a
way!
I wonder if he is from this planet?
Naturally Bill deserve at least my and our gratitude, great respect and
admiration, for many reasons.
Thank you all
Antonio Alves
