I have been fiddling around with the etb files as suggested and have been
able to simulate some of the star occultations from Obs Comp (OC) in Guide.
It is quite easy to rewrite the .rpt file so that Guide can read it. The
main problem stems from making the finished table readable. It takes a time
to get rid of the useless info from OC such as SAl, OAl and Lat and Long of
the maximum event (which the geo map will show anyway) and then to get
everything "lined up". OC churns out all available events regardless of
whether it is observable from your home site or not or whether it is day or
night.
(I haven't met anyone who has observed a 4th mag occultation at 3pm!)
It takes a while to get rid of all the chaff so that only the events needed
are left.

Another problem I found was that when I clicked on show eclipse it gave me
the map of the next occultation in the sequence...a bit annoying as I have
to click on "previous" everytime.

I'm no programmer but it does seem a pretty simple cut and paste operation
from text that Dance recognises to commands that Guide uses and then
somehow making the resulting table readable.
