Re: corrupt astnames.dat ? and how to fix.

Hi fellow solarsystemerian Laurent and guides,

I really saw, real time on my screen, switch the number for nereus
from 4460 to 4461 when turning on the "use mpcorb" option; that's why
the :-)). I knew you were right. The problem probably was not the
MPCORD.DAT file but one (or more) ..ast.dat or xxx.ast files.
Unzipping MPCORD.ZIP in a :\temp directory and just make a copy of
this database to :\guide7 wasn't good enough.( no AST files appear
after the unzip here)
Unzipping directly into \guide7 seems to replace (update?) the AST
files too. My old version of astnames.dat was 3479kb, now it's 3510
kb and I finally got rid of the extra Albert 720.
Problem solved (but maybe not for magnitude problems if a get Bill
right?) Thanks again.
