Tracking charts for NEA 1999 KW4 - more

In my earlier posting today I neglected to mention that the
ephemeris tracks in the AAAP/SIG/A&C Web site are topocentric, for the
AAAP's Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory (NEWO) (79.81 W, 40.63 N, 400 m),
near Pittsburgh. At the minimum distance from Earth, 0.032 AU, the
parallax, which is the displacement of the topocentric from the
geocentric position, can range up to 4.6 arcmin. There are also gaps
from 8 h to 24 h UT on some days.
These charts should be reasonably good for other locations in the
northeastern US. For locations distant from Pittsburgh, it would be
best to plot your local topocentric ephemeris tracks. My procedure for
plotting tracks with Guide is described at the Web site.
