I believe it is the first as a file of 30'x 30' in the second gen are
around 8 mb versus 2mb in the first gen.

If you use a modem it can take for ever to download a large area in 2nd
gen mode. I have a high speed access and can download such file in
seconds but not everyone has this ability. I have found that the
CADC(Canandian site) is extremely fast for download, better than
120k/s(high speed) and 5.0k/s(modem) most of the time. It would be nice
to be able to select different sites or generations, maybe for the
future releases.
