Antonio,
The discussion about the "Bethleem star" has perhaps "occulted" your
question. In fact I believe that it is not possible to change the drawings
of the symbols built into Guide (open cluster, globular cluster, planetary
nebula, and son on).
The only things you can do is
- to change the color
Menu Display -> Data shown
Click into the color used for the catagory of objects concerned
- to change the size of the symbols
Edit the startup.mar file (in the same directory as Guide).
Search the line "59 gal size" and enter the desired values.
Two values are used : the long and the short axis for an ellipse
representing a galaxy. For circular symbols, only the first value is used.
I have set "59 gal size 10 4" which I find very better than the default
values
that give too great symbols on a small display (14"). And even with my
new 19" the appearence is very pleasing to me.
On the other hand, you have full control on how are displayed the user-added
datasets. About that, refer to the manual, pages 66-71. I just suspect there
is an error at page 69, in the example, where
"m45,0 means draw a line connecting to (45,0));
should read
"l45,0 means draw a line connecting to (45,0));
