Michael, regarding display of the time zone in the legend: I may be
able to do this, by adding yet another check-box in the Legend dialog.
(In general, Guide only shows the time zone if it differs from the
default one set in the Time dialog. But I can see where having it shown
on-screen, once, might not be a bad idea.)

Jean-Paul, you are apparently not alone in running into trouble with
getting planet features to appear. Andrea Pelloni mentioned to me (via
private e-mail) that he's running into the same trouble, despite having
tried the things I suggested. At this point, I'm baffled. Still looking
into this...

Also: I've started hearing from several people running Windows 2000
who are having trouble with getting Guide to communicate with telescopes
(LX-200, LX-200 workalikes, encoder units). In the past, new Microsoft
operating systems have had little or no impact on Guide. I don't think I
had to revise a single line of code when Win98 came out, for example.
But it appears that Win2000 may break that pattern.

The problem seems to be that Guide can send data to the hardware, but
cannot receive a reply. So it will send a "slew telescope" command to an
LX-200, for example, and the scope will move; but it receives no reply
from the telescope, and produces a "No reply from port" message. Other
software, such as ECU and T*eS*y, have not been affected.

If anyone else is seeing this (or has seen it and found a solution),
please let me know via private e-mail.
