"...I've tried to show the features on the planets (Venus, Mars, the
Moon). I've downloaded (as indicated in the user manual) the 'planet
extras' file and followed the instructions. But nothing happens: no
labelled planetary features appear, nor the 'planetary features' option
in the Tables menu. It's the same if I use 'Ctrl-Q'... I've asked
Olivier Ruau about this, and he has the same problem. What's going on?"

First, check to see that the file PLANET10.GAZ is in your Guide
directory. This is the list of lunar features, extracted from
PLANETS.ZIP; if it is missing, then something went wrong in the
downloading or unZIPping of that file.

If it is present, run Guide and zoom in on the moon until its disk
roughly fills the screen. Right-click on the moon, and select "Display"
("Affiche"), then "Options..." (If either of these buttons is not shown,
you don't have a current version of the Guide software, and should get
the current GUIDE7.ZIP and install that.)

Now you will have a dialog box with options for controlling how the moon
is displayed. Check the "Afficher les details" et "Etiqueter details";
also, set "Densite de details" to, say, 100. (Sorry, my US keyboard
doesn't know about accent marks!)

Click "OK" and "OK", and the screen should redraw with major lunar
features displayed and labelled.
