Yes, lives quite happily on one [anyone remember professor Moriarty from Star Trek?<G>].  I've run guide that way on several computers.  Even worked on my computer at work when I had some down time over a lunch hour and wanted to check something - and my IT guys are notorious for not allowing anything to be installed on their equipment without their administrator approval.
