Success!

As several of you recommended, I copied the Guide directory (to a flash drive), put the copy in the root directory of the recipient Win7 box.  This worked perfectly except for the spaces between the icons in the menu bar.  I used the method recommended by Denis to "disable themes".  This removed the spaces.
