Hi Rudi,
Sorry it’s taken me so long, but we’ve been away.
Anyway, I don’t have all those files on either machine, but the files I do have are identical on both machines! I’ve copied over the working file to a memory stick and run that one on my mainPC and it works. I then copy all that complete to the hard drive on that same machine and it doesn’t work! Odd, eh?
Oh, and this includes the files in the main folder you mentioned.
I don’t have a problem with Guide crashing, probably because I haven’t installed the latest GCVS as instead I rely on the AAVSO VSX which I update almost weekly.
Cheers,
Roger

Hi Roger,
Strange ! ... I don't have that problem for now.
I however did have the problem (message: "star not found"), after having tried to clear up all these different catalogues (which give different star symbols) and removed some files from the "Variables" subfolder in Guide, as well as from the "HIPP" subfolder.
Do you have all the following files in those two folders ?
1. in the Guide subfolder "Variables"
CATACLYS (= Folder)
DEU_TYPE.DAT (maybe that this is a translation file and it's normal, if you don't have it)
GCVS.NO1
GCVS.NO2
GCVS.NOT
GCVS4.DAT
NSV.NOT
NSV4.DAT
NSVS.DAT
SM_VAR.LMP
VAR_TYPE.DAT
VARIABLE.LMP
(2). and in the Guide subfolder "HIPP"
HIP_COMP.DAT
HIP_DM G
HIP DM.0
HIP DM_v
HIP_DM X
HIP_VA1
HIP_VA 2
LG_TYCHO.LMP
SM_TYCHO.LMP
Clear Skies
