Hi Lawrence,
Just delete the ones in the comet list then only the one in the asteroid
list will show up. This is O.K. if you have recently downloaded the MPCORB
file from the MPC. However if the two plots of the same asteroid are
significantly far apart then you might want to keep them both until you are
sure which is using the most recent data.
I had a problem with my provider *again* with the Reverse DNS and MPCORB
and for a few days loaded the daily orbit update into the comet file.
Needless to say it grew into a very large list in a few days. Today I
removed all of the asteroids in the comet.dat file in a text editor and
reloaded the latest list of observable comets from the MPC in the Guide
format. Now I am back to normal.
